License. A purchased license grants you the right to use the Software on Macs you personally own or control, for as long as you wish. The license is not transferable to another person without the seller's written consent.
Trial. The Software may be used free of charge for 7 days from first launch, with the full feature set unlocked. After the trial period, a valid license key is required to continue protecting additional applications.
No warranty. The Software is provided "as is". While it is designed to reliably restrict access to protected applications, the seller makes no guarantee against every possible method of circumvention, especially by a person with administrator access to the Mac. Shoo! is not a substitute for full-disk encryption or a system password.
Acceptable use. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the Software or its license keys. You may not use the Software for any unlawful purpose.

What the app itself collects. Nothing. Shoo! does not phone home, does not use analytics, and does not access the network from your Mac. All settings, the backup password, and your license key are stored locally on your device (in the macOS Keychain and local app preferences) and are never transmitted anywhere by the app.
What the purchase process collects. When you buy a license, our payment processor (Paddle.com, acting as merchant of record) collects your email address and payment details to process the transaction and deliver your license key. Paddle's own privacy policy governs that data; see paddle.com/legal/privacy. Your email is used only to send your license key and, if the purchase requires it, purchase-related receipts.
Your rights. You may ask us at any time to delete any record we hold that is tied to your purchase (aside from what Paddle is legally required to retain for tax purposes). Contact us using the address below.
If Shoo! does not work as described, or you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked. Refunds are processed by Paddle back to your original payment method and typically appear within 5-10 business days.
